Day 1 – Addis Ababa
  • Arrive in Addis Ababa and enjoy a full day exploring the vibrant capital.

  • Visit Mount Entoto for sweeping views, descend into the city to explore the Ethnographic and National Museums and admire the Holy Trinity Cathedral.

  • Conclude your day with traditional dinner and cultural dance at Yod Abyssinia.

  • Overnight: Addis Ababa

Day 2 – Flight to Jinka & South Omo Museum
  • Fly to Jinka and begin with a visit to the South Omo Museum, an insightful introduction to the region’s diverse cultures and tribes.

  • In the afternoon, visit the Ari Tribe, known for their cultivation skills, pottery and traditional body adornment.

  • Overnight: Jinka

Day 3 – Turmi
  • Explore the Key Afer Market, a vibrant hub where several tribes gather weekly.

  • Continue to meet the Karo people, known for their artistic body painting along the Omo River and the Hamer tribe, recognized for their elaborate hair styles and initiation rituals like the bull-jumping ceremony

  • Overnight: Turmi

Day 4 – Turmi
  • Spend another day in Turmi visiting the Arbore, a pastoral community known for their dark cotton garments and calm demeanor and the Nyangatom, semi-nomadic people living near the Omo and Kibish Rivers, known for their ornamental adornments and scarification.

  • Overnight: Turmi

Day 5 – Konso & Arba Minch
  • Travel to Konso, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where the community is known for their intricate terraced agriculture and generation-marking wooden statues (waka).

  • Later, drive to Arba Minch, home of the “Forty Springs.”

  • Overnight: Arba Minch

Day 6 – Arba Minch
  • Visit the Dorze people, a highland community famed for their unique beehive-shaped bamboo huts, rich weaving traditions and vibrant cotton textiles.

  • The Dorze are also known for their sustainable enset (“false banana”) farming and their warm, welcoming culture.

  • In the afternoon, enjoy a boat ride on Lake Chamo, home to hippos, crocodiles and vibrant birdlife.

  • Overnight: Arba Minch

  • After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your international departure.
